Tasting Notes
This balanced dry Riesling comes from the Black Sage Bench, with multiple picks resulting in a wine that showcases exceptional depth and complexity. Matured for 5 months in Traditional Oak Casks for added weight and richness and finished in stainless steel. The nose is opening with perfumed white blossoms, pristine aromas of fresh lime and crisp green apple leads to a long, mineral-driven finish.
Winemaker Notes
The 2022 growing season was characterized by a cold, wet spring and late budburst. These conditions coupled with hot days and cooler nights were optimal in creation of acidity balance for this vintage. Warm and dry conditions prevailed through summer and early fall and were ideal for the development of berry colour, flavour, and tannin level and resulted in higher than average berry number and weight.
